The iconic Grosvenor Place complex features a two-storey ground ﬂoor entrance lobby and 44 levels of oﬃce accommodation providing 80,000 m² of leasable ﬂoor area. Holmes Fire provided fire engineering services as part of a refurbishment project which included remodelling the existing food court and enclosing the entrance lobby.
Holmes Fire was engaged to provide ﬁre engineered solutions where the building was unable to comply with the BCA Deemed-to-Satisfy Provisions. Holmes Fire added value to the project by:
- Justifying extended travel distances without requiring additional fire safety systems;
- Omitting the need for sprinklers beneath external awnings; and
- Permitting the circular feature stairway as an egress stair.
